MILAN - Speaking at a benefit gala in Angola, Pelè had this to say about Kakà: 'He has more quality than Cristiano Ronaldo who is without doubt the best player in England, and cannot become of the greatest of all time.'
Kaka has rejected Real Madrid’s offer to double his wages and earned the title of ‘Best in the world’ from Pele.
Ramon Calderon has repeatedly announced his intention of bringing the Brazilian to Spain, but Milan have been just as adamant that he is going nowhere.
This week both clubs confirmed that Real representatives met with Kaka’s father – who acts as his agent –but that it was only to officially turn down the proposal of £8m per season.
That is double what he currently earns at the San Siro, although the Rossoneri will improve his contract this summer to pay £4.3m until 2012.
It is also reported that the new deal to keep him in Italy will include the signing of younger brother Digao – currently playing in Serie B with Rimini – and a firm attempt to bring good friend Andriy Shevchenko back to Milan.
Revealing that Real Madrid had indeed spoken to Kaka, Adriano Galliani insisted that the player was not for sale.
This comes after several Italian papers reported that Kaka' and his father met with Real Madrid emissaries, including Mijatovic, yesterday.
An offer of €10 million a season for Kaka, and a whopping €75 million for Milan, was said to have been made.
Said Galliani about these reports: "We can confirm we will not sell Kakà, but we knew about this meeting because we were already informed of it by Kakà's father and Gaetano Paolillo.
"So Milan can confirm that Kakà is certainly not for sale."
The financial offer for Kaka turns out to be suprerior that what he makes at Milan, as much due to better tax rates in Spain, and Galliani admitted the same.

Real Madrid's Italian agent Enzo Bronzetti has revealed Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard is interesting the Spanish giants. Enzo Bronzetti said last night: "The market for Real Madrid depends on the destiny of [Fabio] Capello.
"Once established if he will still be the coach, the future of the team will be decided. Three prestigious signings will be made. Getting Kaka is impossible, but a player for Real could be Lampard."
AC Milan star Kaka has successfully undergone eye surgery to treat defective vision, La Gazzetta dello Sport reported yesterday. The 25-year-old Brazilian was operated in a clinic in Modena, 240 kilometres south of Milan, where he had myopia and astigmatism corrected through laser surgery. According to Kaka's surgeon, Angelo Appiotti, he was "motivated and cooperative" and when he opened his eyes he was surprised because he could already see very well. The footballer was accompanied by his wife and Milan medic. So far, Kaka had played wearing contact lenses, which only in part corrected his vision. In the past season, he scored 10 goals in the Champions League, helping the Devils win their seventh European title.
Ricky Kakà leads the voting for the world's best player 2007 on the fifa site just as he did on the official uefa site. The Brazilian has polled 48.61%, Park Ji-Sung on 23.58% e Cristiano Ronaldo with 11.20%.
