MILAN - The big teams of Italian football, Milan, Juventus, and Inter will face each other tonight in Turin in a triangular tournament which is a true anticipation of the league.

Inaugurated in 2001, the Trofeo Tim has reached its eighth edition. The formula sees three matches of 45 minutes each, with penalties in case of a draw at the end of normal time. This year the summer Gala will be held for the first time at the Olympic stadium in Turin, after three editions at San Siro, three in Trieste and one at Ancona.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan's vice president Adriano Galliani had a meeting with Roman Abramovich on the Russian's yacht in Portofino last week. The Chelsea owner made a personal last-ditch attempt to persuade the chief to let Kaka join the Blues.

The Italian sports bible reports today that, while the Ronaldinho situation was still at a standstill last week, Galliani spent about two hours on the Pelorus, the Russian billionaire's luxury yacht.

Abramovich was not willing to give up on his dream of signing the 2007 FIFA World Player of the year and wanted clear-the-air talks with the Rossoneri's transfer guru.

The mega-offer to prise Kaka away from the San Siro was once again in the region of €100m, but Galliani confirmed that their star player is not for sale at any price.
